The route, explained

Start with the direct train.

For a city-to-city journey, the direct Eurostar is the natural starting point. Look at your time in Paris alongside the train time: arrival at Gare du Nord still leaves a local journey to your accommodation or next station.

Starting route

Direct Eurostar

London → Paris

Travel between London St Pancras International and Paris Gare du Nord through the Channel Tunnel. Start with an endpoint search to compare available departures without adding a waypoint or an unnecessary change.

Another way

Include a stay in Lille

London → Lille → Paris

Make Lille a destination in its own right rather than a transfer chosen only to reach Paris. Search with a night in Lille and inspect both parts of the journey. This is a two-city trip, not a faster alternative.

Boarding is part of the departure

Eurostar journeys to and from London include travel-document and security checks. Follow the arrival guidance on your ticket and the operator's current instructions. The train departure time is not the time to arrive at St Pancras.

Gare du Nord is not Gare de Lyon

If Paris is only the beginning of a longer trip, check which station your next train uses. Services towards Italy and many southern destinations leave from Gare de Lyon, requiring a transfer across the city.

Before you set off

Which Paris station does Eurostar use?

The London–Paris Eurostar uses Paris Gare du Nord. Check the ticket for the exact arrival station and keep any onward connection separate from the arrival time.

Can Trainlink book the Eurostar ticket?

Trainlink helps you plan and compare the journey. Tickets are purchased externally with the operator or a booking partner. Check fare conditions and travel requirements there before paying.
