Amsterdam can be a single rail journey from London or the second city in a longer trip. Compare the direct departure with a Brussels connection before choosing a stay: changing trains and visiting a city are different plans.

Direct Eurostar services link St Pancras and Amsterdam Centraal. Brussels and Rotterdam belong to the corridor, but you do not need to add them as changes. Search the endpoints to compare direct and connecting results.

Another way

Break the trip in Brussels

London → Brussels → Amsterdam

Turn Brussels into an overnight stop, then continue to Amsterdam. This option is for time in Belgium rather than a tight interchange. Review the departure station and onward service for the next day.

Check London boarding requirements

Allow for Eurostar's document and security process at St Pancras. Use the operator's current arrival guidance for your ticket. A planner itinerary begins with the scheduled train, so you still need to plan your trip to the station.

Arrive at Centraal

Amsterdam Centraal is the international arrival point for this corridor. Keep the ticket accessible for the station gates. If you choose a Brussels connection, compare the whole journey rather than assuming every departure is a through train.

Do I have to change trains in Brussels?
